How to convert Word to PDF online
Docs.Zone turns Word documents (DOC, DOCX) into PDF files in your browser. The PDF keeps the layout of the document: text formatting, images, tables, headers and footers stay where they were. You don't need Microsoft Word, and you can try it without an account.
- Press Select files... or drop your Word documents onto the converter.
- Press Start!. Each document becomes a PDF of its own.
- Press Download next to a PDF in your Inbox. Converted files stay there for 6 hours.

When to send a PDF instead of a Word file
A Word document can look different on another computer: missing fonts, another version of Word or a phone app move lines and pages around. A PDF looks the same everywhere and is harder to change by accident, which is why CVs, contracts, invoices and forms are usually sent as PDF. Keep the Word file for editing and send the PDF.
To put several documents into one PDF, use the PDF Combiner. To edit a PDF in Word, convert it back with PDF to Word.
Your files stay private
Files travel over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and nobody looks at their contents. Uploaded files are deleted after 4 hours, converted files after 6 hours, and you can delete your converted files earlier in the Inbox. Some conversions run on trusted partner services that delete the files after processing. Details are in our Terms & Privacy Policy.
